Our Story
St. Cloud Community Pantry was started in 1987, born out of a desire to reduce hunger in the St. Cloud community, by providing food to local residents in need. Today, we provide food for over 336,000 meals annually. Food and funds, valued at over $300,000, are provided through the generosity of our partners and supporters. Learn more about the different ways to support us. All aspects of our operation are staffed entirely by volunteers, who come from every area of the community, to donate over 11,000 hours of their time each year. Thanks to our volunteers, almost 98% of funds we receive go directly toward the purchase of food for over 3,200 families each year. If you’d like to volunteer, please fill out this form so that we can contact you. |

Making A DifferenceKelly is the mother of two young children and is passionate about education. She volunteers in the classroom with the PTA to ensure the teachers, students and other parents are able to achieve success.
When her husband lost his job, the family tried to make it on their own because others were in worse situations. “We still had a roof over our heads,” they told themselves. Kelly remembers nights that she and her husband didn’t eat so that their children could. |
Thankfully, Her husband started a new job, but it would be several weeks before his first paycheck. It was the week before Thanksgiving and Kelly felt desperate. She turned to St. Cloud Community Pantry for emergency food assistance.
“This morning I had peanut butter in my pantry, but no bread to put it on. Now I have pasta, vegetables, bread and other staples to help get us to that first paycheck.”

We have all known the long loneliness, and we have found that the answer is community.
